Afghan Program a Success
American Voices 8 days in Kabul reaches larges audiences and benefits many students
American Voices recent 8-day program in Kabul reached thousands of students and audience members through workshops, concerts and live concerts. The recorded performances for the Afghan media such as Tolo TV and Afghan National Television reached millions more. In a program built around theater and music workshops for University and High School students and joint performances with Afghan pop musician, Zabih Jawanmard, American Voices together with the U.S. Embassy and RonCo Company put together a successful first program after several years of limited cultural events in Kabul. The program highlights includes dance workshops at Kabul University, vocal and keyboard workshops at the new Vocational Institute for Music and performances at Kabul's Daniel Pearl Music Festival, the U.S. Embassy and Afghan National TV.
