Stephanie Phang

As a two time YES Academy ASEAN scholarship recipient under the Musical Theatre program, Stephanie trained and performed in Bangkok and Jakarta and has worked professionally in the Singaporean performing arts industry since 2012. Stephanie started singing officially as a mezzo-soprano in Tampines Junior College choir, later serving as its Vice President, before moving onto the Jazz Band and KR Rockers during her time at NUS where she earned her Bachelor’s in Sociology. Her vocal style draws influence from a wide variety of genres including pop, jazz, musical theatre and a whole lot of Disney. Her range of work thus far has been multi-faceted and runs the gamut from acting on stage, to singing and hosting at corporate gigs and prominent platforms like the Esplanade, to recording voice-overs for brands such as Starhub, Lifebuoy, L’Oréal, Volkswagen and Youtube. Aside from YES Singapore, she will next be seen presenting the Introduction to Harmonising for the Esplanade’s Vocal Focal series in December 2021.
