Biography
Jamal Moore is an internationally acclaimed singer, songwriter, and recording artist. Known for his smooth, rich tone and his cross-style versatility, Jamal brings a uniquely captivating artistry to everything he touches, be it pop, jazz, gospel, or classical.
Jamal tours regularly with Kanye West as a member of gospel sensations, The Sunday Service Collective. A background vocalist for Beyonce, he has performed at Coachella Festival, the Kobe & Gianna Bryant Memorial service, and on the soundtrack for Disney’s new The Lion King. Jamal was a finalist on NBC’s The Sing-Off and has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and Netflix documentary, Beyonce Homecoming. He can also be heard as the singing voice of “Synth” on the new Dreamworks/Netflix series, Trolls.
With a degree in Opera from the Eastman School of Music in New York, Jamal remains active in the classical music sphere, recently performing Wynton Marsalis’ ‘All Rise Symphony No. 1’ alongside the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra and The Tulsa Symphony, Mahler’s second symphony at the Hollywood Bowl, and Beethoven’s ninth symphony at Walt Disney Concert Hall, both with Gustavo Dudamel and the LA Philharmonic. Jamal toured extensively as a featured soloist with Mr. Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. With vocal quintet, The Exchange, Jamal performed in over 50 countries, served as an official “Cultural Ambassador” abroad for the US State Department, and opened for the Backstreet Boys’ Europe arena tour. For Jamal’s original songwriting, he was the Grand Prize Finalist in the esteemed John Lennon Songwriting Contest.
In March 2020, Jamal released the first installment in an ongoing series of soul-stirring covers and genre-bending originals, Love Letters, Vol. 1. On June 21st, the second installment of the series, Love Letters, Vol. 2, was released on all digital music platforms along with new collaborative visuals. With 5+ Million views and 60,000+ followers on YouTube, Jamal is grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with other likeminded artists and to share his voice with his growing audience around the globe.
