Moscow ConservatoryIra Spaulding conducts and solos with the world famous Moscow Conservatory Choir under the leadership of Boris Tevlin

American conductor and singer Ira Spaulding was invited to a return engagement conducting the Moscow Conservatory Choir at the U.S. Embassy’s Spaso House on January 23 in a concert featuring Russian folk songs and African-American spirituals.

The Spaso House concert honored the 75th birthday of the choir’s distinguished conductor, Boris Tevlin. Ira Spaulding was also the featured guest at a jubilee concert for Tevlin on January 24 at the Moscow State Conservatory. The Spaso House audience included many members of U.S. university alumni clubs active in Moscow and alumni of American universities.
