The artists of American Voices
American Voices artists are chosen for their expertise as performers with a dedication to the American repertoire. In addition, they are selected based on their abilities as cultural diplomats and ambassadors for American culture, often in quite challenging circumstances. Our artists are based not only in the United States, but also in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. Through our special focus on our hometown of Houston, several Houston artists and arts organizations are chosen each year for appearances at American Voices festivals and Artist-in-Residence programs.
